Decoratating the Tree

After Thanksgiving we put up the tree to get ready for Christmas. My boys are so excited for Christmas to get here. This is a fun tradition that helps jump start the season. Soup for dinner, and then sweet-rolls and egg-nog after the tree is all done.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Mark and Aimee Hansen's home in Durham. Mark and Aimee are like family to us so it made our first Thanksgiving away from family in Utah, like being at home. They invited a few other families and it was so much fun. Here we are making our Thankful Turkey's.
5 families, and lots of kids running around.... Aimee did such a great job at the tables and making it such a special Thanksgiving meal.Cute boys with their name tags!

Our little family at Thanksgiving! We had such a great Thanksgiving. Aimee, great job on your first turkey.....it was delicious. All the food was amazing and we were so lucky to spend it with such great people. We have so much to be grateful for...family, friends, and most importantly the Savior. Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Grandma Burgon Comes to Visit

Grandma Burgon came to visit us for a few days. It was so fun having her here. We didn't do too much as I am 8 months pregnant and not feeling up to much, but she got to see our everyday life here in NC. I didn't take too many pictures, but here is one at one of our favorite restaurants the Penguin Drive-In diner. This place was featured on Diners, Drive-In's, and Dives. Come visit us and we'll bring you here for some southern diner food. :)
Dad and Ty eating the yummy fried pickles. Lots of fried food here...Now the yummy pimento cheese Penguin burger... Mmmmm mmm good!Don't mind the beautiful preggo chubby cheeks in the picture that really shouldn't go outside without makeup, but seems to anyways. :) That's one yummy burger! Next week is Grandma's birthday so we had a little party of cake and ice-cream for her here. Happy Birthday Grandma!!! We hope you had fun.....we sure loved having you here!Come visit us again soon!
