The Pumpkin Patch

This time of year is so much fun. It seems like there are so many things to do outside. I love fall and all of the beautiful colors. Jeremy and I love to go on drives and see all of the beauty from the changing leaves. We are sad to see that so many are already bare. We went to the pumpkin patch with jackson last week and he picked out some pumpkins for us.

Jackson had so much fun and his favorite part was definitely sitting on all the tractors. You should have seen the tantrum he had when we told him it was time to get off the tractor and go home. It was such a fun night and a fun tradition we will always do with our family. I love spending time with my 3 boys!!!

The Barnyard Boo

Last weekend we went to the Barnyard Boo at Thanksgiving Point with my sister and mom. It was a lot of fun and Jackson loved it. Tyler slept the whole time, so mom loved it too!Jackson loved feeding the goats the corn. He would hold it and just let them lick it in his hand. Saying "cheese" after the horse/wagon ride.Jackson on the pony ride. He wouldn't let my mom touch the horse. He had to do it ALL by himself. Oh we love our independent 2 year old! :)Jackson pumping his fist after throwing the hoops on the witches foot saying "score". He does this also while throwing clothes into the washing machine......score!Jackson with his balloon sword....thank goodness it popped before we left.
It was such a fun day and I loved hanging out with my sister and mom. Thanks mom for such a fun day!

Trip to the Dentist

We went to the dentist last week as a family. I hadn't been to the dentist for 3 1/2 years and Jeremy hadn't been for 3 years. Luckily Jeremy and I were cavity free and Jackson did well letting Dr. Evans count his teeth. He said his teeth looked very clean....that's good to know with his love of treats. :)

Showing off his clean smile! Thanks Dr. Evans - hopefully it won't be another 3 years til next time! :)

Tyler is 7 weeks...

Tyler is 7 weeks old today and getting so big (note the gut over the pants). He is my sweet boy and has been such a blessing to our family. The last couple months have been kind of rough but lately he seems to be doing better. Tyler has a milk, soy, and nut intolerance and so it has made it hard as he has been super fussy. With the adjustment of my diet he seems to be doing better. I can't eat much besides oreos, swedish fish, bagels, and chicken - but I guess I'll sacrifice anything for this little guy to be happy and healthy. :)

Jackson's new "cheeser"

So lately everytime we go to take a picture of Jackson he says "cheese" and throws out this same smile. It is literally in every picture, unless we take one and don't say to smile. I just love this little boy. He has done pretty good with his new brother, but we are exctied for the tantrums to lessen once he adapts a little more. :) Say cheese...

man you could check his dental work with this picture! :) There is so much personality in this little boy, I love it!

Jackson's 2nd Birthday!

So I'm a little behind on posting stuff, but I didn't want to forget my little man's 2nd birthday. We had so much fun with the Thomas themed party. Jackson absolutely loved his cake, presents, and all the attention he got that night. Here are a few pictures from the special day.
Jackson and dad with his new golf set from mom and dad before his party.
Playing with one of his favorite presents....his diggers!
Playing in his thomas tent. This was after cake, thus our topless little boy! We had to put this toy away because there wasn't enough room for more than 2 kids in it, but one of his favorites.

He's a little in awe of the fire, and ready to blow out his candle.

Eating cake with all of his cousins...

It was such a fun night for Jackson. Thanks everyone who came to celebrate with us and make Jackson's 2nd birthday such a fun memory.

Tyler Michael Burgon

Our little angel, Tyler, joined our family last wednesday night at 10:34pm. He was 8 lbs 12 oz and 20 inches long. I was supposed to be induced on Thursday morning, but Tyler just couldn't wait. I started having contractions around 6:30pm and noticed that they were more in my back this time. I told Jeremy these felt a little different and so we hurried home to grab some stuff. I got to the hospital around 7:30 and by 8 was in my room and all hooked up. When I got there I was a 4 and 100% effaced....so they said I was staying. A half hour later I was a 6, and then got my epidural. The epidural helped take the edge off my contractions but I could still feel them. They said that because I was going so fast the epidural wasn't working fast enough. So they gave me a second dose and then I was completely numb and ready to have this baby. I pushed a few times and Tyler joined our family late Wednesday night. It was a fast labor, but a little more painful this time than jackson. We didn't have a name for this little guy until Thursday night. We went to the hospital with Bo/Beau or Barrett, and they just weren't fitting him. So we scratched every name we talked about and just started throwing names out. When we both heard Tyler we both really liked it and could really see him as a Ty. So our family and friends were a little shocked (my mom had already told people Barrett) when we told them his name was Tyler. We are all doing well and trying to adjust to this new little addition. I'll post more pictures once I get a free moment. :)

Tuesday is now Thursday...

We were supposed to be induced on Tuesday (tomorrow) but the hospital is super busy so it has now been moved to Thursday. My doctor said he would make it a required induction so I won't get bumped off again. So now it's an exciting Thursday unless this little guy comes sooner which I would be ok with. :)

Just the 3 of us...

We had a perfect night on Friday with just the 3 of us......one of the last times before we become 4. Jeremy, Jackson and I got some takeout from Hire's Big H and then took it over to Murray Park. It was so much fun to spend time with my two favorite boys. Jeremy and Jackson played some football and soccer while mom watched gazingly at her two boys have so much fun. We walked around, saw some ducks, and just enjoyed the time together. After murray park, we went and got a snoasis...such a perfect way to end a summer evening. Here are just a few pictures from our family date night.
Our future little quarterback practicing his moves. "Dad ready?" He just loves playing with his dad and couldn't be happier that he is outside.
Dad tickling Jackson with a piece of grass. Jackson loves dad to "git" him.

I'm so lucky to have these two boys in my life. Jackson is my sweet angel boy that lights up my face everytime I look at him. He talks sooooo much and amazes us everyday with new words and how he talks in full sentences. I wish I could freeze his little voice forever. Jeremy is such a great dad and husband. I'm so lucky to have him as my best friend through eternity. Thanks babe for such a fun night and for just being you.

I love my 2 boys, but I'm excited to love 3. Tuesday is the day our family becomes 4. We are so excited for this little guy to get here. I might be a little more excited than Jeremy and Jackson as some days I feel like I can hardly walk, but we are all excited for our family to grow.

Week of July 24th....just a little behind!

So I'm a little behind on my blogging getting ready for this baby #2, but I still wanted to post some pictures of our July 24th week up in midway. My mom and dad rented a house up in midway and most of my family were there......which meant utter chaos, but lots of fun! We had anywhere from 13 to 19 grandkids in the house (depending on the day who came and left) and around 10 adults. It was so fun to see all the cousins playing and having a blast. Jackson was in pure heaven with that many friends and cousins to play with. We went to Jordanelle lake 3 of the days and everyone but me did some wave-running. Jackson was a riot on the rocky beach. This little kid hates to be dirty and can't seem to walk more than 3 steps without sitting down because rocks would get into his crocs. Needless to say the next day my sister-in-law Jenni got him some water shoes which were a little better. He could walk around a little longer, but if they were dirty he would sit right down and say "ewww, ka-ka". He is definitely his mom's little boy as I hate being dirty as well. Here are some pictures from the lake....unfortunately those were the only times I pulled out my camera. :)

Grabbing at his water shoes because rocks had gotten in...

Waving to mom from the wave runner. He was very unsure of getting on. He also HATED the life jackets. This body-suit jacket was the only one we could get on him and that was only for about 10 minutes.
He didn't love the wave runner so dad brought him back and went on a ride by himself. He was very upset that dad left him. Don't ya love the tight bodysuit giving him huge muscles and showing off his skinny little legs. :)
Helping dad and grandpa clean up. This was day 3 at the beach and we were all sunned out.
Jackson turned 2 the weekend after this trip (July 27th) and we had a fun Thomas the Train family party for him. I still need to post pictures from it but my sister took the pictures so I haven't gotten them from her yet, but I'll post once I get them. I can't believe my little boy is 2 and I'm going to have baby #2 in about a week.

My angel boy...

I love my little angel boy so much. Nothing seems to make me happier than to see this little kid smile. Jackson is getting so big and is so much fun right now. Here are some pictures of him playing soccer and writing with chalk outside.

Saying "score" after he makes a goal. He now does this anytime he makes a goal, or basket with anything....including throwing socks in the laundry basket, washing machine, garbage, etc...
Just playing outside with mom and dad. Mom made him a train which we would yell "toot, toot" while running around it.
I'm so lucky to be Jacksons mom and so lucky to feel the love a mom has for a child. It is overwhelming to me some days how much I love him. I've been more goo-goo-gaga over Jackson lately with my pregnancy hormones, reading about people who have lost a child, and also with contemplating the birth of our next little boy. I logically know I'll love this next little boy as much, but it is hard to imagine. I am excited to feel this amount of love now x2.

Love summer...

I love summer in general, but this summer hasn't been the greatest as I have been 8/9 months pregnant and sweating everywhere I go. At least there are popsicles to make it easier! :) Jackson has to agree as he asks for one just about every day, "say cheese"...

No more bed rest :)

So I haven't done much blogging lately because I was put on bedrest for the last 2 weeks. I started bleeding quite a bit and then later started into labor. At the time I was 31 1/2 weeks along, which was just a little too early for the baby, so they stopped the labor and I was put on bed rest. I've always thought bed rest sounded hard when I had heard people who had to be down, but wow it was so much harder than I thought.

One thing that really surprised me was how hard it was to have people help me. My two sisters helped me tremendously. They came over almost every day and watched Jackson, cleaned my bathrooms, did laundry, grocery shopping, and even started working on the baby's nursery. I often found myself crying or on the brink of crying the whole time. I hadn't realized how hard it is to have people help you when you feel like you should and could be doing it yourself (I felt like I could physically, but shouldn't for the baby's sake). Soon the relief society found out and we had meals brought to us every night during the week. This all was very overwhelming to me and Jeremy. So many people were sacrificing their time, money, gas, and physical energy to help me. One of the hardest parts was not being able to pick up and take care of Jackson. I missed him so much each day and I think he missed me too. He really started acting out and being a little stinker, which made it harder for me when people were helping take care of him and he was being hard for them. Each night when he would come home I would hold him as long as he would let me. He doesn't cuddle for long, but he seemed to enjoy laying down with mom on the couch a little more than usual.

Anyways, I wrote this because I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped our family get through the last couple weeks. We are so grateful and humbled by everyone's willingness to help us out. Because I was able to really rest, by body stopped progressing towards labor and my bedrest ban has been lifted. I still have to take it easy, dr.'s words"resume light activity", and still no picking up and carrying Jackson, but at least I can drive and be up more during the day. I am now 34 weeks, and just 3 more weeks puts me to 37 which is considered full-term. I'm praying for at least 3 more weeks of this baby inside me, but no more than 5! :)

3 years of Bliss...

Three years ago today I was married to the most amazing man I've ever met. I am the luckiest woman in the world to be with Jeremy and spend my eternities with him. We have a great marriage and a lot of that is due to Jeremy being a great communicator. I have met few men so kind, generous, and self-less as Jeremy. He is always concerned about my feelings and making our family better. Our wedding day was so perfect and one I love to reminisce about. I still find myself looking at our wedding pictures and video just to keep the memories fresh.

Happy Anniversary Babe!!!!! I'm excited for the next 60+ years I am priveledged to spend with you!

Happy Father's Day!!!

I wanted to wish my sweet husband a Happy Father's Day. Jeremy is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I count my blessings every day for having him as my husband and father to my child (soon to be children :) ). Jackson loves his "daddy" so much and can hardly go a minute asking where he is when he's not around. Every morning when I go get him from his crib he immediately says "dad go?" and I reply he's at work and then he says "bus" and I always reply, "yes, dad took the bus to work". Then not even 5 minutes later he is asking again where dad is... and he usually anwers his own question with "train" or "bus". It is so fun to see the two play together and watch Jackson just adore his daddy. Thanks babe for being such a great dad to Jackson and helping me be a mom to our little ones. We love you more than you know...

I also wanted to wish my own dad a Happy Father's Day. I am so lucky to have my dad in my life. He is one of the most amazing men I have ever met. I don't know what I would do without my dad. He is the most positive, sweet, christ-like person you will ever meet.....literally. I have looked up to my dad since I was a little girl and have always considered myself a "daddy's girl". I always wanted to do everything my dad did. I always wanted to serve a mission and wanted to serve in New Zealand just like my dad....that was the only place I wanted to serve. :) My little Jackson just adores you as I do and I love hearing him say "gand pa -- truck", so he loves you AND your truck. :) Dad, I hope you know how much I cherish your friendship and love. Thanks for being such a great dad!

My sweet Grandma...

My grandma Weichers passed away a few days ago and I just wanted to write a small tribute to her. She was such an amazing woman and I will miss her dearly. My grandpa passed away 3 years ago, and we thought she would be soon to follow as she was now alone. But my grandma was a fighter, she was not ready to leave and fought each day to stay here. She was always so happy and sweet to everyone she met. I loved seeing her each sunday growing up and always looked forward to her ice cream and berries treat each week. I remember always begging my parents to sleep over at her house so I could spend more one on one time with my grandparents. My dad is one of the most amazing people I know, and a lot of his gifts and talents can be attributed to my grandparents. Grandma, we will miss you so much but we are happy that you are now with your sweetheart. You lived a fulfilling 91 years and I'm so honored to have you as my grandma. I love you!!!

"uv yu"

Words cannot express how much I love my child. Jackson is so much fun and lately I fall in love with him more every day. He talks ALL the time and it is so fun to hear him say things in his baby voice. He started talking at about 19 months and now he is 22 months and it is amazing how fast they start catching on. He says so many words and attempts to repeat just about everything we say. Tonight he was saying good night to me before Jeremy put him to bed and he said "uv yu". My heart just melted and its amazing how all the tantrums of the day just disappeared from my mind. I'm sure there will be more tantrums tomorrow, but I'm so lucky to have my little boy that I love so much.
