So we've been trying to get out and enjoy all of the fun things here in the city. We are here in Manhattan with about 5 or so families from BYU's MBA program. It's a lot of fun to have company and friends to enjoy all the fun things in this city with.
Bryant Park(which is right by Jeremy's building) has fun things every Saturday. We went to a little magic show with Rachel and her 3 kids. Both of our husbands are at Bank of America doing Investment Banking internships so its been nice to commiserate together at how we never see our husbands...so instead we do fun stuff together. :) It wasn't anything too spectacular, but the boys liked it, especially when the woman caught a rainbow and the rainbow turned into colorful starbursts for all of the kids. Trying to get Ty-Ty to smile at the magic show, and this is what I got. Too funny....I love this kid.
We've been doing some serious splash parking....its so stinking hot here that we just hop from splash park to splash park. There are so many in this city that we could go to a different one every day and never hit them all.
At the splash park at the Museum of Natural History. So much fun. It's just plain fountains on cement tile, but the kids have a blast. It is very slightly slanted so all the water runs down and the kids can play in the little river below. There is a dinosaur splash park in Riverside Park that was sooo great. Fun little dinosaur statues, 3 or four playground areas, a sandbox and huge water area. Here is Jackson and Ty with "big Tyler" as Jackson calls him.Mack, big Tyler, Ty, and Jackson in the back just playing and having a ball. Mac and Tyler are some of my boys best friends here. Luckily my boys can continue the friendship as they'll go back to Provo with us once the internships are over.Ty splashing in the puddles. He doesn't really like the spray part so just splashes in puddles where he is safe.Jackson and Tyler Andersen have such a blast together. They are so much alike.....crazy, and hyper! I'm so glad I have Amber here to understand what its like to have two crazy boys. :)Isn't he the cutest? I have to apologize for Ty's hat. Sorry fellow BYU friends.....I'm a BYUer, but the hubby is still a Ute even though he goes to BYU. :( Don't worry our boys will have hats and t-shirts to both schools. The nice thing with Jeremy going to BYU, he now admits there are normal people there and that it is a GREAT school :)

Sad to say Good-bye...
We were so sad to have Jeremy's family go home. We had so much fun and my boys loved having a grandma, aunt and uncle, and cousin here. We hope they had fun too...although, I think they were all ready to have a car and not live in a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with 8 people. :) Jackson was so cute. He was really upset to say goodbye to them. I think he really started to grasp that we wouldn't see them for a while til we get back to Utah.My boys loved their little cousin Sophia. She is the sweetest, cutest little thing. I just gotta figure out how to get one of her for next time :)My boys love Grandma Burgon. She was so great to help me since dad was working all the time. Me and my boys already miss her. Thanks Grandma for the New York t-shirts!
We sure love and miss you guys! Thanks for coming to visit us!

Statue of Liberty and Ferry Ride!
Monday morning we took the South Ferry to Staten Island and it goes right by the Statue of Liberty. The best part was the ferry is free and we still got to get pretty close to get some pictures. My boys loved the boat ride. You can see the whole south side of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, and of course all the boats for my boys. Picture from the Ferry ride. Not bad for free! It was just hard to get my boys in the picture while not worrying they were going to fall out the window into the water.
My handsome boy....with a scraped up face! :)I could not get a good picture of Ty-Ty. My camera couldn't decide if we were inside or outside.
On our way back to Manhattan...
Later that day we did Wall St. for Blake, Ground Zero (which is mostly just construction now), Century 21 shopping, and then some SoHo shopping. I love SoHo. Lots of shops, boutiques, and cute cobblestone streets. We were all exhausted by the end of the day. We had walked for 5 days and all of us were ready to go home and rest.

Marionette Puppet Show and Serendipity!
We went to church in the morning and then went to the Swedish Cottage for the Marionette Puppet Show. Seriously, it was like a puppet show on Broadway. My boys were entranced...well mostly Jackson. Ty was for 2o minutes and then the 2 year old attention span kicked in.
Jackson with Grandma before the puppet show started. He was so excited. Our fam after the puppet show. It was so much fun. If anyone visits New York, this is a definite must. It was one of my favorite things here.
We then walked through Central Park. I love Central Park. There is something about that place. You truly feel like you are not in a city and I wish we lived closer to it. Our next stop was to eat an early dinner at Patsy's Pizzeria and then Serendipity for dessert. Both places are heavenly. Love, love love Patsy's margarita pizza and the Alla Vodka pasta(or something like that). I literally lick the plate(with their yummy rolls) of my pasta when I'm done. The wait for Serendipity was only 1 1/2 hours so we went and ate dinner and then were done right in time for our dessert reservation. Jackson through a tantrum at Serendipity so Dad and Jackson went outside to wait :( Ty LOVED the frozen hot chocolate. If I even tried to have a drink myself he would scream. I even tried to get him to stop so he wouldn't get a brain freeze, but we was not going to stop drinking for anything.
This kid loves himself some chocolate!Happy mom and Ty after a yummy dinner and dessert. We got a frozen hot chocolate "to go" for dad and Jackson to share. Jackson got some daddy time on the stairs while he cooled down. :)
My fam is cute, but I hate this picture of me. We had walked too much in the heat and well, I just look lovely :)
The rest of the night continued to be great. The men took the kiddos home and the girls got to go shopping at H & M and Zara's. I love me-self some shopping...and especially when there aren't kids there.

Museum of Natural History
The next day we decided to go to the Museum of Natural History, Shake Shack for lunch, and then a splash park after that. Before the museum we went to Shake Shack for lunch, and it was so delicious! Burgers, shakes, fries......oh my! :)
The boys loved the museum! Classic... No words even need to explain! :)
Lions...Elephants...Dinosaurs... Oh my!!!
Just plain cute boys! Unfortunately we didn't go to the splash park because it was closed. Still a fun day.

Some Visitors!
We were so excited to have Thelma, Becky, Blake, and Sophia (Jeremy's mom, sister, brother-in-law, and our niece) come stay with us for a few days here in New York. Luckily we got our apartment just in time for them to come. I moved in Tuesday night and they got here on Thursday.
They came in on a red-eye so they were extremely tired but we hit the town anyway. First we headed to the subway to go see Grand Central Station and then FAO Schwartz. After that we walked to Bed Bath & Beyond to get some extra pillows and a fan. I think Blake fell asleep standing up a few times, so indeed it was a long day for them.
The next day we went to the Children's Museum. It is such a fun museum. We need to definitely go back as we didn't get to see the whole thing.Jackson was in heaven at the Children's Museum. Here he is with Grandma. Thelma was so great to help me out with the boys. (Notice the scab over his lip. The night before he was being his hyper self and showing off for our visitors and tried to drive his car on the sidewalk while running and face planted. It was so sad. He has scabs on his nose, above his lip, his hand, and knee. That kid seriously can't slow down for anything. And when visitors are in town.....he will put on a show for you! :)The Dora Exhibit (floor) was so cute. My boys looked like they were going to explode with excitement. I love seeing them so happy. For the next 20 pictures, do you think my boys like cars?Car, bus, firetruck.....if my boys can drive it, my boys love it!Jackson makes the cutest fireman I've ever seen! It took 4 pictures for him to finally look at the camera for this one. :) He was in heaven being a fireman. He was really acting it all out. He would run and turn on the lights and siren and then run to the fire pole and slide down it and then pretend he was calling people that he was on his way to put out the fire. Too cute! And I couldn't resist putting this picture up. Just, too too cute!

Central Park Zoo
Our last Saturday before Jeremy started his crazy hours with his group we went to Central Park Zoo and then went and ate at Patsy's Pizzeria after. That place is so fabulous....a must when visiting New York. This was where the birds were. Definitely isn't the most exciting zoo, but it was still fun for my boys. We did the whole zoo in an hour... its not very big at all.The boys eating their lunch. It is a pretty zoo, but not many exciting animals to see.
The most exciting exhibit was the polar bears. They were actually pretty cool. They were huge...although it doesn't look like it from these pictures. Ty kept roaring at them... :)
Outside the zoo, there is a little children's zoo (small petting zoo). There were tons of little things for the kids to play on. The boys loved being able to run around and not just look at things.

First Subway ride and FAO Schwartz
Pictures of the boys first subway ride. We decided to go on the subway before Jeremy started work so I could figure it out for when I was by myself. We went downtown to see Time Square and then go to the toy store FAO Schwartz. The boys absolutely LOVE New York and they absolutely LOVE the subway. The cry every time we pass a subway entrance if we don't go down it. The love being on the trains.
Of course the boys loved finding this Thomas train display. Ty flipped when I had to rip the train out of his hand so we could leave.
There were Toy Story 3 displays everywhere. Hopefully we can go while we are here....if I dare brave it by myself. :)
This is a picture of when we came the second time with Jeremy's family. We forgot to get a picture with the soldier the first time we came. Such a fun toy store. One day I want to afford all those huge stuffed animals for my kids playroom.
